During a control on 24-11-2018 at the bird fair in Reggio Emilia (northern Italy), the police found 70 birds (mostly finches), which were offered with manipulated rings for sale
Merchants had artificially widened the rings and created most likely wild-caught animals to sell as offspring.
The € 10,000 worth of birds were sent to the Wildlife Reception Center in Modena, where they are being prepared for their release, supported by CABS .
